Founded in 1915, Henry B. Ball was established by Henry Bernard Ball. After working as a bench jeweler, he decided to start his own company with his passion for making jewelry. He started out small with retail outlets in several local department stores, but in 1954, he opened his first store in the Mayflower Building in downtown Akron. Today the store is still family owned located at Canton. Henry B. Ball Jewelers is one of the longest running jewelry stores in Ohio, with the third and fourth generations at the helm, and has won awards for their emphasis on continuing education.
